Elevation Weekend
has come to a close. It was spectacular! One of my best weekends EVER! Road tripped with 20 amazing
WEC'ers to Charlotte, NC to attend Elevation Worship's live album recording
and got to worship with over 13,000 others in the Time Warner Cable
Arena. Talk about WOW! God truly woke up our wonder that evening. God was truly in that place, and our hearts were on fire with His love! Then
got to attend Elevation Church and hear Pastor Steven Furtick preach live! Talk about another WOW! He is one of my favorite pastors who has really ministered to me through his preaching over the last 4 years. After all is said and done, all I can think is....can we do it all again? ;)

My Baptism
So on February 2, 2014, I was baptized at Waters Edge Church! I was baptized as an infant
in the United Methodist Church but felt called to be baptized as an
adult after hearing Pastor Stu preach on it so many times in accordance
with the scriptures. Fear held me back for so many years, and I was afraid of what others might think. I love and respect the tradition in which I was raised, but do fully believe now that baptism is meant to occur after one becomes saved. Although I have been saved for many many years now, this is an act of obedience I have put off for far too long. There are not
enough words to express how much WEC and the people there have changed
my life, and how much Jesus Christ has transformed me! Thank you to
everyone who came to support me (Mom, Dad, Gerry, Gloria, Alicia, Noelle, Michael, Brian, Casey, Bridget, Ryan, Melissa, and David) - it meant so much!

Outsiders, Not Insiders
"Jesus
heard about it and spoke up, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the
sick? I’m here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a
changed life, changed inside and out.” Luke 5:31-31 MSG
My Pastor, Stu Hodges, from Waters Edge Church (WEC) preached on these verses above during our Everybody sermon series this past month. As soon as he read them, I thought to myself...."THAT'S WEC!" I grew up in a United Methodist Church for the first 18 years of my life. That church taught me everything about the Bible, Jesus, and the church, and it is where I initially grew my Christian faith. I greatly respect that church and cherish the memories, teachings, and amazing Christian mentors I met there. However, once I started attending WEC four years ago, I saw a huge difference between the two churches.

Burning Lights
Road tripped with three friends of mine from WEC to Baltimore on February 22nd to see Chris Tomlin in concert on the Burning Lights Tour to promote his recent CD release. What I love about Christian concerts is that you don't just go there to be entertained and performed for, you go there to participate. It's more like a super large worship service where you get to sing and worship your heart out with thousands of other Christians. I made sure to listen to the Burning Lights CD enough before the concert so I could sing my heart out to every song. It was phenomenal. I have been to a handful of concerts, but this one was by far my favorite. Why? Well, cuz Chris Tomlin is my favorite music artist of all time! Time to check that off my bucket list...
