I went to Kings Dominion today with my coworker Roxy! It was a lot of fun, not too hot, and we got on ALL the major rides which was lucky for a busy Saturday in the summer. Here are my ratings for their major rides:
1 = waste of time
2 = boring, nothing special about it
3 = decent ride, but wouldn't ride twice in 1 visit
4 = great ride, worth a wait
5 = fantastic experience, thrilling, intense, and a MUST ride
Intimidator 305 = 5 (I even blacked out on this one!)
Dominator = 3
Backlot Stunt Coaster = 4 (the ride is better than it looks)
Anaconda = 2
Flight of Fear = 2 (roller coast inside a building, but pretty boring)
Grizzly = 4 (best wooden coaster they have)
Hurler = 3 (every wooden coaster is really rough, bumpy, and jerks you around)
Rebel Yell = 2 (use to go frontwards and backwards, no longer goes backwards)
Shockwave = 1 (you stand up on this coaster; most painful ride i've ever been on)
Volcano = 5
Here is a video of their newest thrill ride, The Intimidator 305! It has an insane 305 foot first drop that made me completely black out for about 10 seconds. But I would definitely recommend it. Watch the first half of the video below to see what the coaster is like; please ignore the annoying review by the guy at the end.
flight of fear should be a 5! thats my fav ride in the park. and shockwave is truly the worst ever. -1.
